Long-Term Care (LTC) Services Division

Plan and establish Long-Term Care (LTC) policy and related business

Interpret and amend the Long-Term Care Services Act and related laws (enforcement regulations; guidelines for LTC trusted institutions accreditation; guidelines for LTC personnel training, continuing education, and registration; guidelines for LTC resources development incentives)

Promote LTC services network programs and related business

LTC information network and related business

Planning and promotion of LTC personnel education and training

LTC 2.0 –three major health policy items (home-based medical care, home-based rehabilitation and respite care service), medical care management system

Establish medical care management centers in remote areas (excluding indigenous peoples and offshore regions)

Planning and execution of dementia medical care services

Planning and promotion of LTC personnel education and training

Cohere rewarded programs for LTC 2.0 discharge- friendly hospitals

Long-distance medical care services

Assist the program of expatriate medical care personnel application and linkage with domestic medical care services system

Nursing Division (#7125)

Planning and investigation of nursing personnel resources policy and development

Amend nursing and midwifery personnel related laws and regulations

Improve nursing and midwifery personnel’s working environment

Nursing and midwifery personnel’s continuing education and certification

Nursing and midwifery personnel’s specialty development and medical care quality improvement

Renew nursing and midwifery practitioners licenses

Issue and review specialty nursing practitioners’ training certificates

LTC 2.0 – implement and develop preventing and delaying disability care program

Incubate and educate local medical care personnel; business relating to return service

Rewards and consulting of establishing medical institutions in indigenous peoples and offshore regions

Build medical care services and digital information in remote areas

Promote and build healthy villages and communities

Re-build, expand, renovate, and upgrade medical equipment of health bureaus (offices) in indigenous peoples and offshore areas 

Business related to referral cases of emergency medical care services of offshore islands, who travel (by plane or boat) at their own expense to Taiwan for hospital visits

Consult and manage nursing institutions (general nursing homes, postpartum care nursing institutions, home care nursing institutions)

Review and examine establishment and expansion of nursing institutions (general nursing homes, postpartum care nursing institutions, home care nursing institutions)

Midwifery institution establishment, consulting and supervision

Amend and interpret Nursing Personnel Acts and related laws and regulations

Amend and interpret disability assessment regulations; educate and train disability assessment staff
